Su'a Ta'alolo

Cooked fat pigs are distributed to guests by the hosts in the Su'a ceremony or traditional exchange of gifts that occurs at any official occasion. This occasion was the dedication of a new church building at Safatoa-tai village. The total cost of the new church building was approximately Samoan $300,000.
Ta'alolo, the gifting by the guests on the day reached $109,000, that does not include the $95,000 raised by guests from New Zealand.
