The land that was once covered with Pandanas, Breadfruit and Coconut trees where Mathew Matang lives with his extended family has been inundated with seawater all too often and the trees have died. The family’s garden used to extend over their large property and is now just six square metres. Here Matang sits on dead tree stumps put to some purpose in an effort to break the in coming high tides.
