Families have to choose between the danger of coconuts falling on people's heads underneath and the coconut tree as a valuable staple food and resource for materials when building a home, just one of the consequences of increasing populations on the Pacific Islands. On the whole it's safety first and a tree has to come down if it's a potential danger to people.
