Noama Telefoni has lived on the islet of Funafala all her life though she visits her family at the main settlement regularly, it's a boat ride across the lagoon.
She like most Tuvaluans are members of Ekalesia Kelisiano Tuvalu the Christian Church of Tuvalu. A chaplain makes the journey on Sundays to take the church service for a small number of people who live there.
Most of the population of Funafuti about 400 people were evacuated to here during the American occupation of WW11
